New York State Agency Internship Opportunity
The APAPA Albany Chapter (ALC), together with the Chinese Community Center (CCC), are bringing an Internship Program to the New York State Capitol Region, with the purpose to promote and prepare high school and college students of Asian Pacific Islander American background to become future leaders in the State of New York. This program is designed to provide an opportunity for students to work in the offices of legislative and executive branches of city, town, county and state governments as staff interns in the New York State Capitol region. The program will also provide training and mentoring to help candidates develop leadership skills, gain public service and public policy making experience, and become civically engaged.

APAPA-ALC and CCC bring the following internship opportunity to your attention, and will work with potential candidates in the application process and provide necessary financial support.

New New York Leaders: Student Intern Program

⦁ Applicants:
⦁ Currently attending a New York State college, university, or graduate program, or be a resident of New York State, attending a college, university or graduate program outside of New York State
⦁ Be a US Citizen or foreign national eligible to work in the United States
⦁ Application Deadline: December 16, 2016
⦁ Internship Time: Spring 2017

For offices outside NYC: please apply through the internship ⦁ website, and send a note to Shaopeng Liu (⦁ sliu@cccalbany.org) upon completion.
